One Last Breath 360 Video for Welsh Water
Welsh Water were determined to highlight the severe dangers that lay beneath the surface of our reservoirs. The freezing cold waters conceal life threatening currents and dangerous hidden machinery. Morgan Lloyd, the head of Brand and Marketing at Welsh Water explains how "even the strongest swimmers can get pulled under".
They were aware that these messages were not reaching enough people and failing to attract the attention of the most at risk groups. The production company Ernest enlisted the help of Atticus Digital to create 360° content for the campaign that would grab the attention of young people.
Using the latest technology, Atticus Digital were able to create 360° video where viewers could immerse themselves in the event itself, using Google Cardboard headsets. This emotive campaign allowed viewers to experience the distressing impact a person drowning had on, not only a mother, but friends and police.
In no time, the 2D video had been shared over 3,600 times and had almost 200,000 views on Facebook. One Last Breath has since been shortlisted for three CIPR Cymru awards. the awards include, Best non-profit campaign, Best use of digital and Best use of social media. The 360° experience grabbed people's attention and delivered the message effectively.
