Synergy - Checkout Challenge Virtual Reality (VR) graduate campaign
Atticus Digital were commissioned to develop a VR Game for Lidl to help promote the company profile for graduate schemes.. Synergy approached Atticus Digital based on our experience with high profile clients, VR experiences, and understanding client requirements in the increasingly complicated digital world.
The experience was to be used around the UK universities through High Fliers. To help improve Lidl’s standing in the Times Top 100 Graduate campaign schemes, and helping Lidl attract the best graduates.
One of our man challenges was to create a game that was fun, easy to use, challenging, and have a competitive element. All of this needed to happen in 60 seconds due to the clients needs to maximise the exposure to potential graduates.
For the solution we worked with Synergy Creative to create the game designs and assets. We created a fresh, fun and exciting game with a competitive element. Whilst working to tight deadlines based around the graduate campaign we built the game using the Unity games engine, developing the game mechanics and all of the 3D assets in-house. We also ensured that all assets were optimized for mobile VR delivery. This ensured that the games played smoothly while retaining its look and feel.
It has proved a great success to our client Synergy Creative and Lidl, It created a real buzz and got graduate talking. After the successful completion of the High Flyers tour Lidl had a 38% increase in graduate applications with a total of 15,562 submissions. All of the 58 graduate roles were filled.
